As a designer, I have always had a deep passion for the arts, particularly hip-hop dance. I have had the opportunity to compete and perform all over California as a member of Press P.L.A.Y. (2013-2016 and 2019) and Boogie Monstarz (2017-2018). In addition to my roles as a dancer, I have also served as costume curator and designer for Press P.L.A.Y. and have been part of the creative team, assisting with the ideation and execution of dance sets. One such set that stands out in my memory was the Press P.L.A.Y. Prelude Sacramento 2016 set, which was based on the theme of introducing a person who is depressed to the concept of P.L.A.Y. (passion, love, art, youth). Through the use of music and dance, we visually conveyed the idea of this person discovering P.L.A.Y. and eventually bringing color back into her life. My time as a dancer has taught me many valuable lessons that I carry with me in my life and work, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to perform and compete in these amazing experiences. I hope these videos bring as much joy to you as they did to me when I performed them.
